AJ GOLDMAN is a multidisciplinary avant-garde artist. His work centers on the deep complexity of self-vulnerability and self-expression. As an Avant-Garde artist in experimental art projects, he utilizes photography, art installations, and performances to raise awareness about important issues such as identity and visualize complex social, and cultural topics.
The mask disguises in his work recur in his creations and is a symbol that highlights the barrier between our innermost selves and the outer world. It is an invisible protection, a cover representing the space we often choose when revealing our true, uncovered selves.
The Somebody Else/Lost in Translation Series was featured in the Paris Society at the Salon D'Automne in 2021. He was selected to become a member of the Salon D'Automne Societaires with artists such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse, Paul Cezanne, Marcel Duchamp, Marc Chagall, and Paul Gauguin. He has exhibited internationally and presently resides in Italy and New Mexico, USA.
